Just finished shooting ‘Stereotype’ in Nottingham, written and directed by multiple members of the McGibney clan (Luke, Jordan and Becky). Extremely long days, so not much time left for me to do my own behind-the-scenes pics. The short film was shot over four days and nights on the RED Epic in 4K.
I have just returned from Prague where I shot a TV commercial with Pink Production on the RED Epic with my favourite Cooke S4 primes. Although the spot for this traditional Czech goodie is in colour, I always love to take black-and-white production stills ‘behind my scenes’.
Penelope Spencer and her ensemble recording Vivaldi’s Four Seasons in London. We have started collaborating with Penny on an exciting educational/musical/visual/interdisciplinary initiative: The Four Seasons Project. If it all works out we’ll have school children of various ages shooting video footage that will accompany live performances of the Four Seasons.
I’ve made it all the way to Abersoch! This is the best of being a DOP: travelling and working. Ideal combination.
Finished two days of focus-pulling and being a 1st AC on a shoot with the not only award-winning but also wonderful Tibor Máthé, HSC. He was shooting a teaser for János Edelényi’s feature ‘The Carers’, produced by Vita Nova Films. It was a great honour to be working with Tibor!
